In recent times, we’ve had a few questions regarding how to run the newsletter feature on and off. We have since changed the newsletter opt-in feature to be off by default. To activate it so that you can collect email addresses for your newsletter database via the Formsly email form, simply hover your mouse over ‘Email Admin’ in the control panel, and then click on ‘Newsletter Opt-in’.
Then simply click on the On/Off toggle to activate the Newsletter Opt-in feature. Your website visitors will now be able to opt-in to your newsletter whenever they send you an email via the Formsly email form. This email database is then downloadable, and can be added to your mailing list.
There’s one thing that’s for sure, and that is things can never be simple enough. Formsly was initially designed to allow users who don’t have any coding knowledge (and don’t want to pay for it either) to be able to make a great contact page for their website. So with a few clicks, and some text entered into the right fields, our users are then given a small code snippet to paste into their website. This has dramatically simplified the lives of many who did not want to settle for a bland contact form, or hire a web-developer. But we know this is still not good enough.
As a result, we’ve embarked on a project to dramatically improve and simplify the process of integrating a Formsly contact page into a website. This involves simplifying the the “add to site” page in our user admin, as well the development of plugins for CMS platforms such as WordPress. Users will be taken through a simple step-by-step workflow of choosing an integration option (e.g. integrate into a text link on my website), configuring it to their liking (easily), and then being presented with a tutorial of what to do to complete the process of adding Formsly to a website. Keep an eye on our blog and we’ll keep you updated on our progress.
A few days ago we went live with Formsly’s new website. Our old site was put together in somewhat of a rush, as we squeeze through the resource contraints which are typical of a startup. Unfortunately, with the old site, we found that our users were struggling to understand exactly what Formsly is, and the superior value it can provide them.
So we set out to dramatically improve our website and make it a whole lot easier for people to get the information they need. We’ve done a major upgrade to the homepage, and completely simplified our pricing page so that users can see what they’re getting in a few seconds. Straight from the homepage, users should now be able to get a much better idea of what Formsly is, and what it offers. We’ll be the first to admit however, that our new website is not 100% complete. It’s a work in progress, and we’re going to keep trying to improve it. Feel free to drop us a line and let us know what you think.
Hey Formsly Community!
We’re super excited to announce our latest feature – the ability to customize the look and feel of your Formsly contact page. If you’re a premium user, you can now fine-tune the look of your contact page to match the theme of your website by adjusting:
- Border Color
- Background Color
- Heading and Page Font, Size, and Color
- Tab Color
To activate this feature, head on over to your dashboard and look for the new tab labelled ‘Appearance’ and begin customizing.
If you already have a Formsly contact page set up, and would like to edit the color scheme of your existing contact page, configure it in your dashboard, and then you will need to add the new version of the contact page to your website. If you have any questions about this new feature, drop us a mail and we’ll gladly help out.
We’ve very excited to announce that the Formsly Online Community is up and running. The sole purpose of this community is to provide a platform through which we can interact, engage, and listen to you, our customers.
